Copyright Policy
OneScull respects intellectual property rights and expects all users to do the same. This Copyright Policy explains how we handle copyright issues and DMCA takedown requests.
Copyright Ownership
OneScull owns all rights to the platform's design, code, and proprietary features. Users retain ownership of content they create and upload, but grant OneScull a license to host and display that content as necessary to provide our services.
User Responsibilities
When uploading content to OneScull, you must:
- Own the copyright or have permission to use the content
- Not upload copyrighted material without authorization
- Properly attribute sources when using others' work under fair use
- Respect Creative Commons and other licensing terms
- Remove content if you receive a valid takedown notice
- Obtain necessary permissions before sharing third-party materials
DMCA Compliance
OneScull complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, send a notice to our designated agent at copyright@onescull.app including:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Location of the infringing material on our platform
- Your contact information (address, phone, email)
- A statement of good faith belief that use is unauthorized
- A statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury
Counter-Notification
If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification including:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the removed material and its former location
- A statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake
- Your contact information
- Consent to jurisdiction of federal district court
We will forward the counter-notification to the original complainant and may restore the content if no legal action is filed within 10-14 business days.
Educational Fair Use
Fair use provisions allow limited use of copyrighted material for educational purposes without permission. However, fair use is determined on a case-by-case basis. When in doubt, seek permission or use licensed educational resources.
Repeat Infringers
OneScull has a policy of terminating accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. We maintain records of DMCA notices and may suspend or permanently ban accounts with multiple violations.
Licensed Content
OneScull may provide access to licensed educational content from third parties. Use of such content is subject to the terms and conditions of the respective license agreements. Unauthorized distribution or reproduction is prohibited.
